Medifast, Inc. (the company behind Trilivy) marked 20 years publicly traded by ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), celebrating both a long-standing relationship with the exchange and significant evolution underway since the launch of Trilivy.

This milestone was about more than the corporate stock. It was about the people behind the company — and the community helping bring its next chapter to life.

At the same time, Trilivy made its mark in New York City, with the new brand featured on a Times Square billboard, putting its vision for metabolic health on one of the world’s biggest stages.

Back at the NYSE twenty years later.

Ringing the closing bell was a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come.

First listed on the NYSE in August 2006, Medifast entered the NYSE as a company focused on weight management. Today, we’re building on that legacy as a comprehensive metabolic health company with a three-phase system offered through Trilivy.

Trilivy is about helping people understand and take ownership of their metabolic health.

But a vision like that doesn’t come to life through a company alone. It manifests through the people who champion it every day.

That was perhaps the most meaningful part of this milestone.

Independent Trilivy coaches and company leadership together in the same room, celebrating not only 20 years as a publicly traded company but the evolution of the brand and the success they all have a hand in creating.

The energy on the floor of the stock exchange reflected a shared purpose. For a company powered by an independent coach community, that partnership is fundamental.

Building something bigger than weight loss.

Over the past two years, Medifast has been reshaping its business around a broader understanding of health. One that goes beyond the number on the scale.

That shift comes as the weight management industry itself is undergoing a fundamental transformation.

“It's a really exciting time for the company,” Medifast CEO Nick Johnson said from the @NYSE following the closing bell. “We're celebrating 20 years of being listed here, but we're also celebrating where we're going next.”

And building a new brand while honoring decades of history requires bringing people along — making sure the people closest to clients have a voice in where the brand goes next.

The coach community isn't simply a distribution channel. Coaches are an essential part of how Trilivy delivers on its promise.

They are the human connection between the science, programs, and products the company develops and the everyday choices people make to improve their health.

The changing industry landscape.

The company’s transformation comes at a pivotal moment for the health and wellness space, especially weight management. GLP-1 medications have fundamentally changed consumer expectations around weight loss.

The rapid adoption of these medications has also raised a broader question for commercial programs operating in the space:

What role does coaching play when medications are being prescribed?

The rise of GLP-1s makes comprehensive support more important — not less.

Medication may address one piece of the metabolic puzzle, but nutrition, movement, behavior change, accountability, and healthy habits remain foundational.

“Coaching is still incredibly relevant,” Johnson said to the media on the floor of the exchange.

Not a coach who simply helps someone lose weight, but a coach who’s an everyday partner in building sustainable behaviors and taking greater ownership of your health.

It's a distinction that reflects the company's broader repositioning: from a weight loss company to one focused on helping consumers understand and improve their metabolic health.

And it reinforces why the coach community remains so central to the company's future.

Investors are watching the transformation.

While the launch of Trilivy represents a major brand transformation, the company believes that the opportunity is considerably larger than a new name or logo.

Consumers are increasingly looking for solutions that connect weight, nutrition, movement, body composition, and long-term health — and that the market for metabolic health could ultimately extend well beyond traditional weight management.

With the NYSE bell marking the occasion, Medifast is signaling that it believes this opportunity is just beginning.

This strategic shift is also playing out against a backdrop of improving key performance indicators.

For the people gathered at the NYSE, though, the opportunity was about more than business performance.

It was about seeing the work of many people come together in one place.

Coaches who have spent years supporting clients. Leaders who have helped shape the company's next direction. And a community now united around a new brand and a broader vision for health.

Because transformation doesn't happen solely in a boardroom. It happens in conversations, in communities, in kitchens, on walks, at the gym, and in the everyday moments when someone decides to make a healthier choice.

The role of the company is to give coaches the tools they need, including science, products, and support to make those moments count.

Advancing the science.

Prior to the bell ringing, company leaders and coaches came together for Trilivy’s annual leadership symposium to hear business updates, learn about the latest science from the Medifast Scientific Advisory Board, and discuss what’s to come.

The conversation reinforced a simple idea: better metabolic health doesn’t come from one intervention or innovation. It’s about understanding the science, applying it to everyday life, and giving people the support to enact meaningful change.

Ringing in a new chapter.

Medifast first arrived on the exchange as a company focused primarily on weight loss. Twenty years later, ringing the closing bell at the NYSE offered a fitting backdrop for celebrating a new identity and a broader ambition.

One centered on metabolic health, supported by science and human connection.

But perhaps the most fitting part of the celebration was who was there to witness it. Coaches and company leadership, side by side, knowing that the next chapter is something they will build together.

The bell marked a milestone for the company.

But the energy in the room made something else clear: The future of Trilivy isn't something being built by a company alone. It's being built by a community.

And 20 years later, we're just getting started.
